On Monday, January 15, 2017, Regal approached SGE regarding a particular 2007 Komori LS540+CX press we identified in the U.K. Dave Brown, owner of Regal, set out clear goals. He wanted a full print test and inspection performed and proof of a regular and thorough maintenance. By the next week, Ashley, of Superior Graphic Equipment, was en route for a print test that following Wednesday.

On Regal’s behalf we conducted a full print test including a GATF test form, solids and a thorough visual inspection of the press and ancillary equipment. We identified maintenance logs showing proof that the machine had been exceptionally well cared-for. The print test bore out the excellent condition of the press. While on-site, Dave had ample opportunity to have Ashley answer his specific questions and send photo documentation of everything he was seeing. By the afternoon, Dave made his decision to move forward with the purchase.

As work progressed to move the machine to the United States we did encounter a weather delay. It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen. We monitored the situation daily. We wanted Regal to know we were on top of things, “I can tell. Keep it up. Been good so far.” – Dave Brown

We walked Regal through flooring and electrical questions, helped source transformers and made sure the riggers and mechanic were on-site and ready for action when the press arrived.
